windows vs linux


Does anyone know the market share of these two operating systems in regard to servers online.
Im thinking linux is bigger but I maybe wrong.

Well, depends how familiar to the O/S you are and whether you're actually maintaining it.

As I don't have as much knowledge on Linux as I do Windows Server, I run my server (which is sitting next to me) on Windows. That way, I know how to get around and change things really easily.
Linux however, I think is a better option if you're not directly managing the server.

Just my two cents.

Linux is just better overall. I was on a site that had a long time linux vs windows vs mac battle and Linux was always victorious.
