View Full Version : photoalbum 2.0 - popup window problem

couldn't find my original post... so here is a new thread

Describe problem:
In the photo albums i've created when i click on the thumbnail image I
get a new window, but not a distinct popup window as is shown in the "example" at the bottom of the page and shown in the developer code. I saw that "_new" makes a new window, but not a distinct popup window sized at 500x600px, smaller than the site window.

This is the photoalbum I'm using, and with a click on the thumbnail graphic a popup window showing the larger graphic should appear:

here is the site I'm working on online:

Your version of the script (photogallery.js) on your server is missing this line (red):

// -------------------------------------------------------------------
// Photo Album Script v2.0- By Dynamic Drive, available at: http://www.dynamicdrive.com
// Mar 11th, 07': Script updated to v2.0
// -------------------------------------------------------------------

function photogallery(garray, cols, rows, twidth, theight, paginatetext){
gcount=(typeof gcount=="undefined")? 1 : gcount+1 //global var to keep count of current instance of photo gallery
var twidth=twidth || "500x" //default table width is 700px
var theight=theight || "500px"
var ptext=(typeof paginatetext=="object")? paginatetext : ["Browse Gallery:", ""] //Store 2 compontents of paginate DIV text inside array
this.pagecount=Math.ceil(this.galleryarray.length/(cols*rows)) //calculate number of "pages" needed to show the images
document.write('<tab . . .

When I ran your page with that line included, the pop up worked as expected.

Give it a shot.

Added Later:

I am seeing now that you took out that line to eliminate the 'Browse Gallery [1]" thing. You can just as easily get rid of that by editing the style here (addition red):

.photonavlinks{ /*CSS for pagination DIV*/
font: bold 14px Arial;

BTW, please post DD script related questions in the correct forum (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2). Thread moved.
