CSS Popup Image Viewer and Safari

1) Script Title: CSS Popup Image Viewer

3) Describe problem: In Safari, some hover images appear cut off, don't disappear after hovering away or display various randomness. It seems it's a Z-INDEX issue but playing with that property produces no differences.

I noticed that too. The problem is solved by doing the following (I put the directions in a comment):

.thumbnail{
position: relative; /* remove this line to make popup work properly on Safari*/
z-index: 0;
}

[jscheuer1]

That will definitely screw up the way they look in almost any other browser. In Safari 3 for windows, I see no such problem. Are you using Safari 3 for Mac or an earlier version? Does the demo page on DD have this problem in your version of Safari?

In any case, the demo on DD, as well as the link to Hand Blown Lighting works fine in Safari 3 Win.
