1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-In Slideshow

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem: I have used this script on another site for about a year - http://www.coachworksautosales.com/auction.html

I tried it on a new site - http://www.kbanet.com/jlfh/ and it works fine on IE (surprising) and Opera. But on Firefox, it shoves the slideshow to the right of the content.

I tried expanding the size of the slideshow div to 10px over the size of the slideshow but no change.

I copied the old code off of the first site listed, since it has been working fine, but I'm still getting the same problem with Firefox.

I'm out of ideas.

Perhaps use, for the div tag, dimensions that match the image?

<div id="slideshow" style="height:150; width:750;">

I thought this might be an issue with the divs not matching up, and that the slideshow might not have a place to go, but from my count, all of the divs that are opened are later closed at what seems like a reasonable time. If this is the problem, I'd suggest taking it apart bit by bit to see if any of the tags are out of order there.

For the #slideshow selector in your stylesheet, change it to this:

#slideshow
{
margin: 0 auto;
width: 750px;
border-right: solid #C0C0C0 4px;
border-bottom: solid #C0C0C0 4px;
border-left: solid #C0C0C0 4px;
float:left;
margin-left:15px;
}

You probably can get rid of:

margin: 0 auto;

But, I wasn't able to test that anywhere near as easily as you should be able to. Leaving it in didn't seem to hurt anything.

Well, I'll be darned.

The float and margin tags worked.

Thanks, John.
