1) Script Title: Blending Image Slideshow Script (Best seen with IE 4+)

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/image4.htm

3) Describe problem: IS there anyway to use this script but have 2 on a page instead of 1. I really like this script but I need one that allows me to have 1 blending set of images on top of a page and then another near the bottom of the page.

Thanks!

Anyone have the code to do this? :)

I don't per se, but:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

whose main code is updated here:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20221

and:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/swissarmy/index.htm

both allow for multiple instances of a slide show on a page and their transition effects are cross browser.

Thanks! I will check them out. :)

OK, I am totally a beginner here but I input what I thought was right and it's not working. I had pictures on the site but no fading but now nothing is displayed. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong. I am using the Ultimate Fade-In Slide Show. I just need 2 different slide shows with 2 pictures fading into each other. THANKS! - Elizabeth

This is what I have for the script:

This:

var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[]=["images/messybedroom.jpg","images/cleanbedroom.jpg"]

var fadeimages2=new Array() //2nd array set example. Remove or add more sets as needed.
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages2[]=["images/cryingchild.jpg","images/happychild.jpg"]

Is not how it is shown on the demo page and doesn't define any images. At least follow the template as shown:

var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["images/messybedroom.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["images/cleanbedroom.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax

var fadeimages2=new Array() //2nd array set example. Remove or add more sets as needed.
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages2[0]=["images/cryingchild.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages2[1]=["images/happychild.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax

The rest of your code is unclear due to possible text wrapping, but looks about right.

In the future, use code tags:

code goes here

around your code in messages here so that it appears like so when you publish:

code goes here

Or, better yet, post a link to your live page.

Sorry about the code. Thanks so much! I will test this out! :)

That worked PERFECTLY! How do I disable the links? If you put the mouse over the picture is tries to link somewhere.

See site: www.denverfamilyconsulting.com

Thanks so much! This is great!

You don't copy so well, not:

var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["images/messybedroom.jpg"] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["images/cleanbedroom.jpg"] //plain image syntax

var fadeimages2=new Array() //2nd array set example. Remove or add more sets as needed.
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages2[0]=["images/cryingchild.jpg"] //plain image syntax
fadeimages2[1]=["images/happychild.jpg"] //plain image syntax

But:

var fadeimages=new Array()
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages[0]=["images/messybedroom.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["images/cleanbedroom.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax

var fadeimages2=new Array() //2nd array set example. Remove or add more sets as needed.
//SET IMAGE PATHS. Extend or contract array as needed
fadeimages2[0]=["images/cryingchild.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages2[1]=["images/happychild.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax

You need to have the empty entries.
