mount on debian

Any help on how I would go about mounting a new SATA drive into a debian linux platform? I have already checked and it has appropriate board support.

The same way you mount anything else:
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/mountpointIf it's brand new, you might have to create a filesystem and possibly a partition table for it. The mkfs and fdisk tools can help you do this, respectively.
