Reinstalling CentOS to install Plesk?

Hi, my web host with whom I have a dedicated server says they need to reinstall the Linux OS in order to install Plesk, and they're charging a fee for this.

Are these guys being truthful in saying the server has to be reinstalled in order to be able to have Plesk running?

Nope, they're lying through their teeth, or are really poor sysadmins who haven't worked out how to use yum yet. Either way doesn't bode well for your experience with them. If I were you, I'd switch.
