Difference between javascript and dhtml

What exactly is the difference between javascript and dhtml, it seems everything dhtml is javascript at the same time, is there any real significant difference between the two, would be useful to know if i want to get more familiar with the two.

Thanks alot, i guess according to that it is basically a mix of javascript, css, and html all together in a combination which the browsers are able to use. xD
