Help with initial auto show then view main page

I designed a ite for a friend based on a site that they liked (www.i2iphoto.com (http://www.i2iphoto.com)). On the site that they wanted, I think a flash movie starts flashing images very fast before the main page loads and then the images scroll across the screen. I have recreated a similar scrolling effect for the page and I don't think the flashing images are necessary but it is not my site. Is there a non-flash way to achieve a similar effect? I would love to do it with simple java script or html. Here again is the example website www.i2iphoto.com (http://www.i2iphoto.com)
