Help req in Frames

I need to how to open link from one page to open in a frame of other page

I have tried ever thing i can
i tried this code



,"Awards","http://www.intermesh.net/awards-and-achievements.html",0,"","target="master.html/if"

Please note that master is other page name and if is frame name...
sience i am using JSP to dispaly the drop down menus so i cont use <a> tag...
