hello there, I would be very grateful if somebody could help with what I hope is a simple one. I have this wonderful script on a page working fine. But, I require a second one version of the script on the same page. What happens is that the content of the second one displaying in the first.

I've gone through the script and renamed as many variables as I can find in the second version to see if I can solve the conflict but have had no sucess.

Can somebody tell me how I can place 2 of these on one page?

In the past, I've always hesitated in making a multiple use version of this script because I didn't like several of its features, or rather how they worked out in actual use. That and the fact that it isn't very smooth in FF.

But, I had a bit of time and wanted to distract myself, so I have made it:

View the well documented source for instructions. I may update it to fix some of the issues that bother me but, at least this version does what the single use version does except that it no longer functions in some legacy browsers. However, it will degrade fairly well (doing nothing at all) in those browsers.

Note: A main script now goes in the head while small 'calling' scripts go in the body for each slideshow.
