Hi i upload a mp3 file to my site for my radio show. I have been asked if i know of a software that will get the latest edition of that MP3 automatically. I use to have a software i used but i lost it.

I don't want to give out my user name and password what i want to do is to the following.

I give them http://MYSITE.COM/MP3/NEWS.MP3

Can any one help

that will get the latest edition of that MP3 automatically.
Does the filename change for the latest edition of that MP3 file?

When you upload the new "news.mp3" file, does it overwrite the existing file or does it make a new one. Also, are you looking for a server-side solution (such as PHP, ASP, etc)?

Wouldn't it play the updated file anyways if it is retrieving the source from a file name?

... src="http://MYSITE.COM/MP3/NEWS.MP3"

Unless the file is stored seperately (a server cache?), it should automatically play the new file.

I think your users could probably use just about any normal downloading software like dap(download accelerator plus) or something like that to recieve the new mp3 file. if you do OVERWRITE the existing mp3 on your hosting server.
