Columns not touching top banner in IE

Hi:

I new to learning CSS and just downloaded one of the templates from DD to start teaching myself CSS.

Here is the link to what I have:

The problem I'm having is the "Left" and "Right" columns are a pixel or two under the banner in IE 6, but in FireFox 1.2 they touch the bottom off the banner which is what I like.

Anyone know how I can get the same effect in IE?
