Interface for Updating Page Content

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking to create a web page that could be updated by an 'administrator' without them needing to get involved with any code or ftp.

It would, [ideally] allow them to upload new images and text, choose a css classes for the new elements and offer them a preview of the edited page.

I'd also welcome any suggestions as to where I might learn to do this myself. I've learnt a bit of PHP. I don't know if it is possible to create this kind of interface with PHP, or what is more appropriate.

It's possible, but there are many such "Content Management Systems" pre-created and lying about the Web. I don't use any myself, but you may wish to check out phpCMS (http://phpcms.de/index.en.html) or OpenSourceCMS (http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php).
