1) Script Title: AnyLink Drop Down Menu

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm

3) Describe problem: There is an alignment problem on this page. Basically we have a randomizer script running in the background so every time you refresh the page a new promotion appears. With that said, the way this page was designed is in such a way that there are two separate tables. What ends up happening is the table on the right is always larger than the table on the left. The table on the left always aligns itself in the middle pending on the length of the table on the right. Is this something that is written into the code of this script or is this occurring because of the way the Server is interpreting the code which is running IIS 6.0? The main goal is to have both tables to line up evenly at the top, so basically the left table will ignore the length of the table on the right.

I appreciate any help.
Thank you for your time.
Tim

I'm not sure I understand- are you saying the script is somehow causing the tables to misalign? Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.

Sorry for the delay.
Here is the link.

Basically, I'm trying trying to figure out if something in the script is causing this alignment issue or it's something on the webserver.

Thanks again,
Tim

Hi:
I just viewed your site using IE7 and Firefox 2.x, and don't immediately discern any alignment issue with the table. In any event though, the best way to verify if the script is the cause of something is to temporarily remove the script entirely from your page, and see if the problem persists. There isn't anything in the script that should affect other elements on the page that I can think of.

I did what you said.
I'm still not sure if it's the .inc file or something the server is doing.

I realize this maybe out of the script realm, but if you have a chance I would appreciate if you could look at it.

The first link is just two squares.
The second link is the same page with the .inc file.

Obviously, there is quite a change.
I'd like to make it where the blue box is on the same horiziontal plane as the orange box.

This looks like just a HTML issue. In your test.asp page, the reason the two images are so far apart is because the second table's alignment is set to center:

<table width="370" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">

If you change that to "left", the two tables will meet side by side:

<table width="370" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="left">
