1) Script Title: Image Thumbnail Viewer II

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail2.htm

3) Describe problem:

I really like the Image Thumbnail Viewer II script and plan to use it, or something like it, on my next website. But I'm hoping to bump it up a notch. When the user places the mouse over a text link, instead of just showing a single photo, I'd like to display a slide show -- possible one like Ultimate Fade-in slideshow (v1.5) (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm). So each text link would display a different slideshow on mouseover, with each photo in the slide show able to hold a hyper link.

I know there can be problems combining scripts. And I'm too new at this to create my own from scratch. So I wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion, or if they had seen what I'm looking for already on the net.

Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt:
It seems the closest thing right now to what you're looking for would be Lightbox Viewer 2 (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/lightbox2/index.htm). It has a grouping feature that does almost what you're asking for, albeit the sliding of the images isn't automatic.

I think I may have found something that will work:
http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/multishow.shtml

Let me know if you think it's a stable code. This website, Java Script Kit, doesn't list what browsers the script is compatable with.

Also, I would need to make some changes:
- Make it fade between images.
- Make it pause on mouseover.
- Make the text links activate on mouseover, instead of onclick.
- Possibly add a title or description under each image. I could add it directly into the jpeg, but I'd rather not.

I'm trying to learn the coding on my own (I bought the Visual Quick Start Guide). But if the experienced folks in the forum could help me along, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, Matt

As far as the LightBox Viewer 2 script, I don't want to use something in a pop-up window. It needs to be in the page, like the Image Thumbnail Viewer II.

But thanks for the suggestion.
