Well for one thing about me is I am no graphic desighner but can maybe help you -

Tips -

1) Use 3D
2) What are you designing (eg if you work for a morgage company draw a house with people in front swapping cash or somehting)
3) Create new ideas no one has used before :)

Pshaw. Spoilsport.

Anyway, if you're just looking for ideas, here's a few:
-Letters made of objects
-Firefox logo versus IE7 logo.
-Try drawing manga (http://www.vis.com).

FYI: my wife, as an artist, often sits down with marketeers that have briljant ideas, but do not know how to put it on paper.
Therefore, if you wish new ideas, go and sit down with marketeers of the bigger companies, and try to help them. You might earn some with it !
Because the most difficult thing is placing other people's ideas in a visualized form.

nila at first I thought the websites you linked to were yours. If they are, you need no advice! Keep doing what you are doing ;)

If not, those guys are pretty darn good IMO.

I use to work in 3d a lot. I think that it's ok for logos but 2d is better in the long run. Or when you do a logo, design it so that it would easily translate into 3d.

Couple things you could do is redesign established companies.

Change where you work. Take your sketch pad outside, to a park, museum.

3D can be overused, though.

Just... make it represent what you want. Stay simple, but make it interesting.
It's art... not something you can make a rulebook for.

use things you see when riding in a car, or looking out a window

bring a pad and write down ideas, then put those ideas to use

when i work on graphics i try many different designs before finding the right one

Isn't the first post in this thread spam?

I wasn't sure about that either.

I'd certainly question it.

But, perhaps, really, he's just asking for help for his sites, mentioned above. So... I'll let DD decide.

Might just be blatent spam, though.

And the URLs are removed.
The (semi-)useful info remains, though.
