Shockwave Flash Object

I have a Shockwave Flash Object file in my computer but i just can't open it, anyone knows how those files work or how to view them? would be appreciated, thanks.

You will need Flash Player installed to view .swf files. You can get it from adobe.com (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash)
