Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm a computer science teacher and soon to be CS grad student. I'm a reasonably experienced programmer, although I'm fairly new to DHTML. This forum looks like a good place to get some of my questions answered, and to answer other's questions too.

Seriously though, welcome aboard.

Okay, grammar wasn't the right word. But I am guessing (hoping) he isn't a 1337 sp34k3R.
or use sms code.
I am waiting for the day I see an application with sms or chat speak replacing 10 key as an ability.
Heh, it's only a matter of time (did you see the news about Scotland's acceptance of txtspk in exams?).

My English teacher makes us rewrite an entire essay or writing if we use any kind of talk like that.

Good for your teacher!
I don't allow it on my forums, and have them tagged as "bad words" and they are replaced by the phrase "Bubba Loves me!"
People try to get around them by using new ones, so we just keep adding to the list, LOL.
Some of those posts turn out very funny.

Mainly C++. I also know PhP, Matlab, and assembly (x86 and Zilog Z80). I knew Java at one point, although I've forgotten most of it by now.
And yes, I'm anal about using proper spelling and grammar in my posts. :)

I overuse elipses, certainly, but I write well if I'm in the right mood. Depends on what the tone of the thread is.
Anyway, welcome.

You're joining two independent clauses, and the second needs a subject.
I am very well experienced with HTML, and I am learning JavaScript.
Again, you're joining two independent clauses. The second clause needs a subject, and the two clauses need to be separated by a comma.
I'll ignore the incomplete sentence, since that was probably deliberate.

The adjective structure should be different. The "very" or "well" isn't needed. :p
I, indeed, use proper grammar.
You, indeed?
Indeed: an expression of surprise or skepticism or irony
Not grammatically incorrect, but the wrong use of a word.
