CMotion Image Gallery script - vertical scrolling modification?

Does anyone know how to modify the script to create an up/down scrolling direction instead of the left right horizontal scrolling direction.

I have tried altering the motiongallery.js script by substituting the X and Y values and by substituting the words 'left' and 'right' for 'up' and 'down' respectively but this doesn't seem to work.

I must be missing something?
Can anyone help?

I also have been trying to get this to scroll vertically with no luck. I'd appreciate any help with this.
