1) Script Title: Lightbox image viewer 2.0

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/lightbox2/index.htm

3) Describe problem: I've never used any type of javascript, css or basically anything other than plain html so I've been trying to figure out if I'm doing this right. I'm pretty sure I've uploaded all the files to the correct folders but it still doesn't seem to be working. As I was looking through the forum I saw that most problems occur when there are several scripts on the same page; could the problem be because of the ads Yahoo puts on the side of the page? If that's what's causing the problem is there any way to work around it? When I was looking at the source from the page I saw this:

<!-- text above generated by server. PLEASE REMOVE -->

but I'm guessing that's only for you to remove if you're putting the code onto another page. I guess I'm just stuck, does anyone know if I'm doing everything wrong or is it just because my page is on Geocities? I'd appreciate any tips, advice, help, etc.

It could also be something you are doing but, that script won't run on Geocities even when installed according to the instructions. And, it may not be the ads. It is one or more scripts that Geocities puts on their pages though. The developer of lightbox chose to use a number of single character unprotected (global) variables in their code. Scripts on Geocities do the same thing, conflicts are inevitable. The lightbox script is so complex though that 'fixing' it to work with Geocities is really beyond the scope of this forum.

That's what I was afraid of! Thank you for answering my question though.
