I am working on a site for Orlando bloom. And I want to learn CSS, but I am having a bit of a problem getting started. Can some one turn all this into CSS for me please?? I tired and cant seem to figure it out. Maybe onces its in CSS it will be easier.

No, the bit between the <style></style> tags is css.

CSS is only an extension of HTML. You can't create webpages for example, with CSS alone. CSS simply styles your document, it has nothing to do with DOM. Even javascript could make a webpage (not reliable though seings some people disable it on their browsers).

Ok I am trying to once again redo my stupid layout on my Orlando Bloom site I just cant get it right. Well I finally have it like I want and i need help changing it to CSS.

I've tried and I cant see to quite get it just right. The HTML part is just the way I wanted it so I want it all turned in to the CSS code exactly like the way I posted it. I don't think you quite understand what CSS is. CSS just "styles" html to make it look a certain way. It is not a replacement for html.

I KNOW!!! But a site I went to is using the exact same code. They dont use HTML they used that CSS code. Can you please just help me with it :)

you need to have css match the tags and classes in your site or the css does nothing.

html is used to carry information and one dimensional structure, while css is used to define how that information is displayed. your best option right now is paying one of us to create the site for you.

EDIT: and what mburt put down is for the layout. Put the given code into an html file and open it in a browser before you open your yap and belittle someone who is more knowlegeable than you on the subject in question.

Wow, I just started reading this post. At first I didn't want to get into it, but I guess I might as well. First off (this is for BloomFreak); on the site that you had posted in one of these recent posts, there was HTML code (as well as CSS) in it. Also, I'm not sure you really understand the meanings of CSS and HTML code. I suggest you go back and do your research a little better.

Second; and the most important, this forum is for learning and helping others (no where in it does it say arguing or talking "bad" about fellow members of the board). If you want to "pick a fight" with someone, go to a Yahoo chatroom or something. Otherwise, try to point the user in the right direction.

Anyways, just some suggestions to those who already posted and those who are reading.

The CSS code worked the layout showed. But for some reason I was having a hard time getting my HTML code for my site to the CSS code. (If you dont understand that Well I dont care.)

But I looked at the CSS code and quickly figured out what was what. What did what, But apparently you didnt understand that the first time. Maybe it was my fault for not explaining to well.

Still dont get it??






I dont really care All I care about is I got it to work. All I care about is I figured out how to get my site's layout to use CSS code. I do have 5 or 6 sites using HTML So I pretty much know it like the back of my hand. As for CSS I do have (I dont know how many Invisionfree message boards that uses CSS code for the layout) Thought I dont know CSS coding as well as I know HTML I think I know what I am talking about.

Aha.

You want a link to the CSS Document so it displays on the page.

Steps

1. Open up NotePad
2. Copy the CSS code and paste it in NotePad
3. Save it as styles.css in your folder
4. Copy this code into the <HEAD> of your document.

<link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

Done!

And you better chill too. :)
