I have heard more and more about this amazing thing, so I got it. bblite I think. Is that the one I want?
I got it, installed it and all my crap is gone. So what do I do now? I have figured out how to install and uninstall it, as well as find all my programs and what not.
I read the wiki, and it was useless. So what is the point of this, and why can I not live without it?
I actually just gave it as an example, but since you've got it anyway... it's a very lightweight environment, but that doesn't mean you can't do a lot with it. Check out http://www.bb4win.org/ for some examples.

Thats where I got it from. I guess I don't really know what to ask. Let me try again (that site doesn't give very good information, at least to me)
Besides an environment, what is BB? What are it's capabilities and why is it better than explorer?
What can I do with it, what should I do with it, and what should I not do with it?
I hate to be dense about the subject, I did try to research it, but everything I could find acted like I should already know everything about it, and I know nothing about it.
Any help is appreciated, it looks nice, I just don't get it.
What are it's capabilities and why is it better than explorer? Its capabilities are pretty much those of any desktop environment. It could be considered better than Explorer because it's faster, simpler, and more customisable. On the other hand, either of the last two could also be considered disadvantages, depending on one's point of view.
What can I do with it, what should I do with it, and what should I not do with it?Er... other than using it as a desktop environment (its main feature, obviously) it can also be extended to other purposes using a number of plugins, many of which are available from bb4win.org.

Okay, gotcha. Thanks.
So I would be wise enough to state that this came about from Linux type personalities that wanted the extended customization abilities in Windows that Linux offers?
Definitely, since it's a near-enough-direct port of a very popular and long-standing *n?x desktop environment :)
