I have a "CSS Left, Top and Right Frames Layout" and I am wondering how, if possible, to have a menu in the left frame that targets the "maincontent" section so that only the "maincontent" changes not the left, top, or right frames.
Thanks

Unless these are actual frame elements in a frameset or iframe elements, it cannot be done without javascript. Even with javascript or if you do have frames, there are certain types of content that would pose additional problems. Please supply a link to your layout.

The OP is referring to this layout (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts/item/css-left-top-bottom-and-right-frames-layout/). As John noted already though, this is just a simulation of frames, so there's nothing you can target when it comes to links other than the page itself. You can't load a link inside a certain "frame" of the layout with the exception of using DHTML, such as via the Dynamic Ajax Content (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm) script.

Thanks. I was thinking that. I think i'll just stay with my original layout for now. insomniawave.com (http://www.insomniawave.com).
