Hosting Service Recommendations?

I've finally decided to change hosts after nightmarish service... The last straw was ALL email being down (and bouncing) since Dec 29. Ouch. (PS - Although your-site.com is a great deal, things have really gotten bad there.)

I have several sites I need to move.

Have any of you had positive experiences with switching to a new host? Any advice or recommendation would really be appreciated.

I'd need at least 50 GB disk space, 6 GB transfer, email aliases and 5-10 POP3 accounts. Nothing too fancy.

You forgot to mention a key factor, which is your budget. But assuming it's small, a few virtual hosts I would recommend from personal experience are:

I will second site5.com

I switched there from powweb (uggg) and can highly recommend them. Tons of space, unlimited lots (including SQL emails subdomains and on and on) and different prices for different packages.

In the last year they have been down for a total of about 1 hour (and email was down for 2 hours while they completely changed servers) Customer service is quick and efficient as well. :D

Yep Site5 isn't bad, and with many of their packages, you can host multiple sites/ domains on one account, which makes things really affordable in the long run.

I'm currently using Godaddy, and they aren't bad. Though after seeing that "5 dollar deal" from site5, I'm thinking of switching.

Site5 is great, I have their "super unleashed" or whatever they are calling their big one now... I have 3 sites on it, 27 GIG of space etc etc. no problems here.

I use godaddy for the domain registration though that is all I use them for.

I use godaddy.... good stuff, prices aren't bad, but the customer service is TERRIBLE and the people you can finally talk to have no idea what's going on (I don't blame them, but their superiors), so don't expect help, especially technical things (like, for example, retrieving a backup of data THEY lost).

100webspace offers prompt and excellent customer service. However after seeing what site5 can offer, I'm thinking of switching too but have to wait till Dec as I have just renewed my plan with 100webspace.
