why i am in the yahoo directory

why i am in the yahoo directory ?
i never pay or submit the site there
it also shows in miami we move to orlando fl 6 years ago is there any way to

change that or just leave it alone ?

bots. domain registry. and insecure computers.

Bots run from all major and most minor search engines. This will find any active site eventually and catalog it.

Domain Registry will put all your personal information it gathers out there for display. This is why private registration was developed. Anything you put in your registration is freely available information.

Insecure computers, those without spyware, malware, and firewalls are open to tracking sites, cookies, etc.

If it is on your computer, it will make its way to the internet. The best you can do is either use fake information or do everything you can think of to clean and prevent these things from happening in the first place.

I wonder if running AD-Aware and Spybot-search and destroy everyday before switching off the PC will help?

It can't hurt. But if you are already in the system it is a while before you are gone from it.

It sounds like you could potentially have some problems in other areas if you are unsure aboutthe security of your data but as far as getting listed in the Yahoo directory for free - beats paying the $299 annually!
