How to put powerpoint slides on my site?

A friend send me a very nice XMAS powerpoint slides with music. I thought of uploading the file and put on my site to share with other friends.
Is there a way to do so?

Of course. Just upload it as you would any other file.

Thank you. As the file is quite big (almost 5MB), it takes quite a while to download. Is it possible to convert it to swf?

I don't know of any specific way to export as swf, but you could convert manually.
Or you could save them as jpgs and upload those, or use the "save for web" option for saving as webpages that may or may not have perfect code, since microsoft generally sucks at such operations, and sometimes outputs internet explorer-only code and such, but it should generally work.

OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) can import PowerPoint and export SWF, I'm told. I've never had cause to use either format, though, so that's entirely hearsay.

djr33, I tried converting manually to other file type manually/saving as webpages but all without success.

Since OpenOffice is still a bit buggy, I daren't try.

Googled and found the following after reading comments from other users that it is good: http://www.***********/presentation_to_video_converter

Maybe the file that I am converting is too huge, the conversion did not go well midway. Also during conversion, my PC sound suddenly disappeared and now I am stuck with this no sound problem. SOB!

found the following after reading comments from other users that it is goodI have a strong suspicion that it's actually only one user, pushing his/her product.
Since OpenOffice is still a bit buggy, I daren't try.OpenOffice is fine. Apparently, its SWF export function has a few bugs. Whether this will affect you depends on the content of your presentation. There's certainly nothing to stop you trying.
