View Full Version : Success and Failure with Drop-In Content Box

I'm trying to use the drop-in box on 2 sites. One is succeeding (www.productsforgood.com) while another is failing - never dropping (www.golfers.com). I MUST be doing something wrong. Troubleshooting assistance would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm to my wits end :)

Could this be server-related or simply my coding (the drop-in should show on the home page of both sites).

Thank you in advance!

Try removing the onload code here:

<body bgcolor="#ffffff" onload="" topmargin="0" leftmargin="0">

It should never be there, and is probably why the script isn't running.

That worked like a charm for the failing www.golfers.com! Thanks a million! However, I have another site that uses old Frontpage dynamicanimation script and it will not remove that onload for anything. Is there a workaround, or do I need to rebuild that page without that old scripting?

www.pennies.com (home page) is where I'll put it, but you can see it currently added to www.pennies.com/default3.htm as a test page.

Here's the troublesome spot:
<BODY text=#585043 vLink=#006666 link=#006666 bgColor=#ffffff leftMargin=0 topMargin=0 marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" onload="dynAnimation()">

I'm going to have problems with the content drop-in until I rebuild that, huh? I can just feel it. Thanks SO much for your assistance!!!! :D

Ok, if you need both onloads to run, then one way is to modify the line:

if (window.addEventListener)
window.addEventListener("load", initbox, false)
else if (window.attachEvent)
window.attachEvent("onload", initbox)
else if (document.getElementById)

This will now make the Drop Content's script's onload immune to any other onloads you have on the page. In other words, this one will never step on another onload's toes. :)
