Hello -

I do not know Javascript! On some of the Show Hide links the page shifts. I want all the transitions to be smooth. I have checked the code and can't see what is wrong.

http://www.ados.net/~vanover/cmsc/bylaws.htm In Opera - When Clicking on the Show-Hide links - the page shifts.

http://www.ados.net/~vanover/cmsc/presentations.htm In Netscape/Firefox- When you click on any link after Technical Papers - the page shifts

http://www.ados.net/~vanover/cmsc/reserve-booth.htm Netscape-when clicking on Break and Lunch Sponsors and Event Programming the page shifts. In Opera and FirefoxEvent Programming shifts.

I need these to be smooth. I redid the part of the pages where there was Javascript and it did not help. What have I missed? Can this be fixed? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Looks like the reason the page is shifting is because when you show a div it makes the height of the page taller, which causes the scrollbars to appear. There is no way around this other than making the height of the page with the divs open shorter so there will be no scrollbars or make the page extra tall to start with.

Thank you so much - I wondered about that. You are right - I added space at the bottom and it looks find now.

Again, thank you!
