problem with chromemenu script

i'm having a bit of a problem with the chromemenu script. i changed the appearance and put the menu in a div in the middle of the page, and for some reason it brings up the drop-down menu somewhere else on the page. when i move the div container up to the upper-left corner is seems to behave fine... any thoughts??
