Looks something like paintstrokes with text on top. Photoshop, I take it?
Maybe a graphics tablet, or perhaps just "wet edges", etc. with the mouse.

I guess my question is what it's supposed to represent.... fairly abstract.

paintshop, and its a single brush lol. its called a 3d brush. i basically draw 1 line with the brush and put text on top.
