new PC, supposed to have an HD sound card, that supports 5 channels and all the great stuff, it's a piece of junk, if the master volume is to high (above half) i get static when the sound peaks, and constant ticking, when there is alot of embient sound, (Ex: Battlefield 2 is hell to play with the sound up, especially when driving a tank, ugh) anyway, it's my stereo, trust me hehe;)
my old PC was fine, in addition this, i'm pretty sure it's not winamp doing it but, sometimes when i play music in it, it sounds like crap, not distorted or anything like that, but it sounds like it would be coming out of cheaping a** earbuds, rebooting fixes that, but restarting winamp does not. aaaaany thoughts
P.S. i have tried reinstalling and updated sounds drivers, im not a total idiot
