I am looking to put a "Countdown to Christmas" javascript on my websites and am concerned because of the amount of javascript that is currently on the pages that could result in a SEO problem. On my sites that will involve this countdown script there is currently a bookmark script as well as an iframe scroller.
The primary question is this. If I add the countdown script is this going to be a major roadblock to SEO given the bulk of the script is sitting in the <head></head> section?
The secondary question is this. If the primary question response is yes, can the countdown code be called from a .txt document? (If so, how?)
There will be over 500 pages that this script will show up on. An example of one of my typical pages can be seen at http://www.asseen-ontvsite.com/WATERFORD/index.html
Thank you for your always insightful and informative guidance.
