1) Script Title: fade in slide show

2) Script URL (on DD) http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm

3) Describe problem: script is greatly appreciated! I have searched for changes I need and have not found them, so I am posting a question. How do I dissolve or blend the images in this particular script. I have looked at the others, and being a student, cannot figure out how to do it. I have tried to combine this script, the blend script, and the flexi script but to no avail. I am trying to show 5 logos of varying size, dissolving into each other. Thanks in advance for any help.

This would be a bit of a major project even for a skilled coder. In addition, the dissolve effect is IE specific, whereas the fade effect is supported by many more browsers. U-fade can be made to accommodate images of varying sizes fairly easily but, it is hard to get it to work off of next/previous buttons or links if that is what you are after.

It shouldn't be too hard to get U-fade to dissolve in IE, fade in all others that support fading and accommodate different sized images as long as the largest height and largest width are known.

Would that be good enough? Control links or buttons would be a pain.

Thanks for quick reply.
Fading in and out, at a slower rate, is fine for the images. No need to have prev and next buttons.
Thanks

You need to set the width to the widest width or wider and the height to the highest height or higher, here:

new fadeshow(fadeimages, 300, 225, 0, 3000, 1, "R")

The speed of fading is here:

function fadepic(obj){
if (obj.degree<100){
obj.degree+=2
if (obj.tempobj.filters&&obj.tempobj.filters[0]){
if (typeof obj.tempobj.filt . . .

2 is pretty slow (gradual). Due to the way that the math is done, 5 would be the next fastest that you can use, then 10, which is the original speed of fade for the script. You can use 1 but that would be really slow. Also, you must have a slow enough (high enough) slide speed, 3000 in the call with this version, to allow the images to blend before the next transition occurs.
