I have no idea here.
However, I'd think that C++, being a desktop based language, and MS SQL, being a server based language, have nothing to do with each other.
I suppose you're running both on your local machine?

MS SQL, being a server based language

MS SQL means Microsoft SQL Server which is a database package not a programming language.

One can develop their application programs using any programming language and can keep the data they are dealing with in any database that programming language supports.

Here costas wants to know how he can connect VC++.NET to MS SQL Server 2005 database, thats all.

Alright. Just guessing.
So.... yeah, sorry. no idea how you'd do that.
What are you trying to accomplish? Perhaps there's another way I could suggest.
Or, we'll see if anyone happens to know. But I don't think that too many people around here know both those languages AND how to use them together. We'll see :)

I think you can have a look at one of the MSDN forum posting about the database connectivity
