Can anyone please tell me whether encryting the source code of one's pages can present any problems for Googlebot and other bots as they try to spider the pages of one's site? Thank you.

"Problems" as in, making your entire site invisible to them? Yeah, that's one of the more pleasant side effects of source code "encryption."

i'm also having problems with my site being invisible to search engines, but i didn't use "encrption". google and yahoo do not bring up any hits.

This Is the <meta> code on my index page:

<meta name='ROBOTS' content='index,follow,all' />
<meta name='googlebot' content='archive' />
<META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="economic development,centre,sustainable,africa,region,nigeria,scientific,research,planning,management,civil society,cesdnet,sids,accademic,journal,zakari,ahmadu,natural disasters,human development" />
<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Centre for Economic and Scientific Development is a Multi-disciplinary,Independent, non-partisan,

not for profit,non-governmental research organization,devoted to rigorous analysis of Social,Political,Economic and Scientific Policy

relevant to the Global and African Economy" />
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="zakariahmadu@cesdnet.org" />

the site is: www.cesdnet.org
