How to make a search field using DW 8?

I want to add a simple SEARCH field for our web site (about 120 pages) - using DW 8, how do I do this? I've read through the DW help files - and it talks about adding a SEARCH PAGE (as opposed to SEARCH field). I just want to have a search field and submit button place on every page at the top.
