Hi.

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place here to ask this question so forgive me if I'm not.
What I would like to know is if it is possible to embed a Font to a webpage so that the person who opens that site can read the font without having it installed on their PC.
If this can be done plaese someone tell me how.

Thanks in advance.

Cheng

Make it a picture, heh.

Sorry, I am in a mood. No harm meant. I am sure there is a way, I just don't know it.

Have you googled embedding fonts (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=embedding+fonts+in+web+pages&btnG=Google+Search) yet?

Hi Blizzard.

I made it a picture, but I just wanted to know if it can be done like writing a whole text block in a certain font that definitly most of the people don't have installed but can read it.
I will check out Google now but at first I thought I might be a scripting thing that's why I asked here.

Thanks.

aye, and it very well canbe a script, although I really can't see the logic in this. That link I posted above looked rather promising though... not sure what it entails.

If you want to post your findings and what worked for you (providing something does) please post back with that info so others may learn as well :D

Font embedding was a technology that was investigated, but it never really took off. As I recall, NN4 implemented it, and IE still does, but I don't think any other browser has.

For logos and headings, you might consider using images (with appropriate alternative text).

Here's a link I found about embedding fonts. I skimmed through it but I personally would not embed text and make it images like everyone else said.
