Okay, the code I'm referring to is:

The coding works great, and I got everything to work.... but I was wondering if there's a way to get the thumbnails to be located at the bottom of the image prior to the mouse touching them.

Visit my website (http://www.freewebs.com/klinefamily) and you'll see the thumbnails on the right hand side. As soon as you place your mouse over one of them, they jump down to the location I want them to be at when you first enter the page.

Ideally, I'd like the first image to be there when you load the page, and then when you mouse over, it would then change that image to the next one. I was able to put the image in there, but when you mousedover the thumbnail, they jumped down and inserted another image below the top image. But, I'd settle for just a blank spot the size of the image until the first mouse over...

I hope all that makes sense. Thanks for help, or even just TRYING to help. I really appreciate it. :)

**Edit... by the way, I posted this thread in here because while it references a DD code, there's nothing wrong with the code, so I put it in here because it's more of an "overall" DHTML question. If that's not right, please feel free to move it to the DD Help forum.

So, does anyone know how to get the thumbnails to stay at the bottom?

Or, can someone tell me how to get the first image to be loaded, and then the mouse overs will change the image?

Okay, I figured the above problem out. I was missing the image in the DIV line.

However, I now have another problem. For some reason, the images don't load when you go from one page back to the home page.

For instance, visit my site (http://www.freewebs.com/klinefamily/), and you should see the thumbnails on the right hand side under the picture. Click on the "Our Guestbook" link, and then click on the "Kline Family" banner up top to go back to the homepage.... the thumbnails aren't there.

Hit refresh, and they show up.... most of the time.

Also, it's starting to happen when you first go to the page. They just don't show up, and I have no idea why.

You have so many scripts on that page, I'm surprised any of them work, even part of the time. One thing in your source that can't be good is this at the end of the page:

A script should only be linked once to a page. Most likely you copied your own source code from the site and it had already had this added to it by the server, then you uploaded the page and it got added again by the server.

Another thing I notice in your gallerystyle.css file is this line:


width: 335x; /* Set to gallery width, in px or percentage */

That should be px and probably should be more like 320px.

A recent bug fix for motiongallery.js changes this function at the end of the script as shown:

The first two issues point to sloppy coding in general and indicate that there may be many more of these type of glitches, any of which may contribute to the problem, if fixing the above three things doesn't take care of it.

Is 3 codes really "so many"?

As for the

thing, I can't tell you how many times I've deleted that line of text.... freewebs loves to put that on there (as well as a space at the end of coding everytime you save it... which is why some pages have large blank spots after the coding.)

That's the price you pay for using a free service, I guess.

But I do try to delete that line as often as I can as there's no code that calls for it to be in there.

But thanks for point out the missing "p" in "px"... like you said, just sloppy coding.

And thanks for the update on the .css coding, but it didn't solve the problem of the images not showing up once you go back to the home page.

But, I do thank you for taking the time to help me out... I really do appreciate it.
