1) Script Title:
Tab Content script
Tabbed Document Viewer
2) Script URL (on DD):
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/tabcontent.htm
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/tabdocviewer.htm
3) Describe problem:
I'd like to mix these two scripts together. I have a page ( http://www.flyingscool.com/TopicsInAviation.htm ) where I have a number of tabs displaying documents from other sites. I'd like to add a tab to this tablist with content from this page (eventually I want to replace all the tabs with local content, but until I write it, I'm using others). Is this possible?
I realize I could just write my own document and display it in an iframe. The reason I prefer internal content is that I understand it is more web spider friendly to have content on the page than it is to use frames, etc.. Plus, people searching may find the document for inside the frame, but not see the page that is supposed to contain it.
I tried to add an iframe inside of a tab on another of my pages with tabbed content, but it screwed up the display on IE6. ( http://www.flyingscool.com/UsingMSFS.htm ).
I like the tabs on the Tab Content script better, and am hoping to transplant them into the Tabbed Document Viewer script.
Any ideas on how I can mix these scripts together, have some tabs with internal content and others displaying content from other pages?
Am I going about this properly?
Thanks,
Thomas
