Possible to edit Shockwave Flash Object?

I have a "Shockwave Flash Object" file that a friend gave me, and I was wondering, is it possible to edit the links and text on it?

No. what you have is a file that is a completed and published movie, it should have the extension .swf

To edit the file you will need the .fla file that the .swf was made from.

Another option is to get a .swf decompiler and make a .fla file from the .swf and then use Flash to edit and re-publish the movie.
