Script: DD Simple Tree Menu

I'm usisng the simple tree menu script to build a folding tree dynamically loaded index over about 1,000 links. There are four levels of nesting. It took a while to work through, but all is working great in IE.

When I try to bring it up in FF, the expanded index flashes for a few seconds and then redisplays in expanded mode. The style definitions in my CSS seem to show at first in the brief flash, but do not affect the final display, thus I have standard list leaders formatting.

If I contract the list and then click my way through the level, everything works as expected for the first child, but only for the first child. I'm open for any suggestions on where to look. Thanks.

Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.

You should be able to access the script at http://www.ctcodeworks.com/docindex.htm

Part of the issue might be in the CSS. I found the java console in FF and used it to root out a couple of syntax issues. I am using styles to colorize the different levels of the hierarchy. I'm just getting started with CSS and javascript, and have always used IE as a browser. Digging in to the browser differences for the first time like this leaves on like a deer in headlights for a while.

I don't see the Tree Menu on that page (note: your server seems to be very slow to load).

DocIndex is a "shudder" frames page. The tree will appear under a header frame on the left side. The slow load is from some server side java loading 1,000 index entries on a server awaiting a memory upgrade. Give it about 20 seconds and the tree should appear.
