load content from external file

hey guys,
I was just wondering if there is any way to let the document load the content from an external file (Txt file)?

for example: The design is set. just the content need to be loaded from a text file. So that the next time the wont be any need to go through the HTML codes to change the content of the document...

im not quite sure if should post this thread here or in other section of this forum.

The best way to do this is on the server side. There are numerous solutions depending on the type of your page (ie: php, asp, ssi etc). For example, for .shtml (ssi) pages, you can use server side includes (http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/ssi.shtml).
