File Uploading help please

Hi guys.

I wonder if someone could help me with regard to having an upload area on a website. Basically i would like the person viewing my website to be able to browse for a file on their PC and then upload this to the website server so i can download this at my convinience using FTP.
Would i need server side scripting as well as a script within the website? Any information would be grately appreciated.

It allows you to do an upload. Then it also allows you to download. So Users can use the upload and you can take out the download place it on a seperate page and you use the download. Instead of using FTP.
