hi,
i known xhtml,css tag....but my problem is whenever i want to start creating a site,am confused where to start from.most of the times because of this confusion,i prefer using a drag and drop wysiwig..then going to the backend end to clean the codes.i would need help with a plan and where to start from when wanting to design a whole site with xhtml and css

My general point of view is that if you don't have a clear idea of what you want it to look like, you shouldn't start the site. But then I'm a hippy, apparently. :p

Some people say drafting things helps. It's all about inspiration -- this is the bit of web design where art comes into play, and art is different for everybody. You'll find something that helps you. This is one stage where I would agree to the use of a WYSIWYG editor, but I'd recommend rewriting the site from scratch after you've used the WYSIWYG editor to design it, rather than just tweaking the code.

Umm.. paper and pencil?

Draw out your plans, then start coding.

If you know what you're doing, no need to draw, but if you don't have a plan, gotta start somewhere.
