making ONLY one td in a table scroll

i'd like to make a two column table where only the right td has a scrollbar. right now the table just keeps getting larger and largerand my left td is stretching to keep up. is there any way do to this?

Hi,

It seems to me that you are really needing to make the page in to frames. To have an area with a scroll bar it would be in <frames> <iframes> or <text area>.

If you can give me more information on the layout of the page I may be able to help a little better! :)
